First I want to distract you from my exciting post with a little jaunt.....off to my new shop!
Yes finally!
My etsy shop is open!
I do have a ton to go into it but it happens slowly. As I get a moment I will add things, but for now go feast your eyes. Here it is!!!
A funny story now...
Kaitlyn just ran up and climbed up on my knee quick as a weasel screeching, "mommy pick me up, there is a ghost in my room, a little purple one!"
I say, "Oh? Can I go see it?"
She says, "No it's my ghost!"
Ok, that's it, not so funny the second time, oh well.
Now, back to what I am REALLY excited about......
I don't know if it official yet but Kaitlyn is potty training---herself!
She is now on her third day of complete dryness. The odd thing is that she did it herself. Hauled out her little potty and has gone on it every time.
I didn't need to prod or push. She just did it without a word of encouragement. I am still in shock and worry she might regress. No night or nap pee's even, I don't know if this is normal and I don't care, I am HAPPY!
Now I am sure the little dollar store gifts that I rewarded her with once I caught on to what she was up have helped to keep her dry...why did I offer anything? I guess I am just so proud!
All by herself...did I tell ya?!
We hadn't left the house the last few days just because I didn't want to put her in pull ups but today we ventured out. It was a bit of a dilemma for me, do I put on a diaper or take the chance?
Light bulb moment.
Hello, take the potty! So we did. And she used it, a few times, and so did her little friend!
Gosh, still proud!
So if all goes well and she keeps dry she gets a huge treat. Auntie TT offered to take her to Burger King. Not for the burgers, she couldn't care less, no she goes for the play structure and it has been talked about for a few days now...oh, the anticipation!!
So, she now realizes that sippy cups=pee. And it is fun to her, what a card!
The rest of the potty in the park pictures are here.
With that I am outta here, gotta go dump another little potty bowl in the big potty, what fun!
p.s. I added my shop to my links above and also added a link on my sidebar so you can check in on it whenever you feel like it.
Cheers!! (back to that little potty, I forgot to mention that she goes like 14 times a day, ya, little monkey!)

Way to go, Kaitlyn!! You know from reading my blog that I believe letting them take the lead and do it in their own time is the best way, so this sounds like an absolutely awesome achievement for her! What a clever girl.
Hi Anna - awesome news about Kaitlynn! I also love your etsy shop. I thought I would check out the description on the orange blossom painting and the yellow baby bottle. You might want to consider changing the description on the bottle. Right now it reads that you can wear it on a chair (I am absolutely certain you meant chain - but thank you for the chuckle...it made my evening!) I hope you all stay well and YAHOO Kaitlynn - what a BIG girl!!!
Hooray for potty training and training herself. That is just awesome. Now, I am off to check out your shop before going to bed.
Yipee on the shop! Love the new additions :-)
And Kaitlyn is my new hero, atta girl!
yay for etsy and potty training! love the potty/park pics :) the shop looks wonderful, you go girl!
i expect to see more things in it when i come back from spring break :)"
Hi there,
Kaitlyn should be very proud of herself. Can hardly wait to see them (hopefully after we get back from you-know-where)
Take care, continue to build your shop and we will talk to you soon.
Lots of love
Grandma and Poppa
Yeah Kaitlyn! Ya know Anna, I learned with my 2nd that when they do it themselves, they do it for good! You can bribe and plead til your blue in the face but once they decide no more diapers it just happens!
Very cute store by the way, love the necklaces you did!
Hooray for potty training!!
I'm off to check out your shop :)
That's how it was with Mischievo. He pretty much potty trained himself and hasn't had any relapses. A few accidents, of course, but that's to be expected.
Wow, that is awesome that Kaitlyn is taking care of the potty business all on her own!! That is VERY impressive!
I'll definitely check out your etsy!
I'm training Wes - we have the exact same potty! I hate it - the little pee-guard is just too small for a boy! It's gathering dust right now - he tells me when he goes but doesn't quite get to the potty. But it's progress! Always nice when they figure it out!
Yay for Kaitlyn! That's awsome! And congrats on your Etsy shop. I have to go check it out now...
