It's not like you were talking about 'them'...sheesh! They probably wouldn't like it if I wrote a post about my experience with DOCTORS 'and' NURSES! A doctor actually turned me into DCFS when my son had failure to thrive. (I took my son in because I knew there was a problem and I was fully aware he wasn't growing and it concerned me.I was a nervous wreck about it!) He informed the nurses to 'watch' me when I fed him or to feed him themselves...grrr....! I had told the doctor that I thought my son had allergies, but alas, he didn't believe me. After a week of my son still not gaining an ounce the doctor not knowing what his problem was (hmmm...scratch....scratch....and I was feeding him...go figure....) transfered my son to a much better hospital. That very night after being transfered a gastro doctor came in, looked at my son and said, "It looks like a food protein allergy.". Hmmm, really? Didn't I say that already? After putting him on a specialized formula he starting gaining weight- wa-la! So I (the mother) was right and the doctor was ummm....wrong?! I had to go through several intense interviews by the 'stupid' (just had to say 'that' word...) DCFS people even though the hospital had told them on many occasions that it was not my fault he had failure to thrive. It was a very traumatic experience for me- no good mother should have to go through that. Anyway- so glad to hear that your kiddos are doing better! You seem to be a great mother and don't let what other people say get to you (I know it's hard not to...). Have a great and wonderful weekend! =)Blended in Texashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05897774265090998216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2578794009671354856.post-37791633492136540162008-03-15T10:14:00.000-06:002008-03-15T10:14:00.000-06:00Hey!
