A day

How do I look?
This photo was taken on my most miserable day. Saturday. Puffy cheeks and pain defined that day. It was a beautiful day and we spent it out at the lake. I would have loved to have gone for a walk but spent the time on the couch moaning.
Who knew a simple tooth ache could make someone feel so lousy?!
Anyway I am feeling pretty normal again and am so glad!
My Nana was in town for a few days and we soaked up every moment we could with her.
More leaf crunching was absorbed.
And warm afternoons in the yard soaked up.
We did make an outing to the thrift store the other day and came away with some treasures.
We just couldn't resist this at $1.99

And then there were the costumes. The kids were so excited and wanted to play dress up right away.
However by late afternoon we were getting restless. Whenever Dave has to work the 13 hour shift we get antsy and get stir crazy.
A little walk down the the playground was all that was needed to clear the head and pass the time.

Now we are trying to get back into the normal swing of things. With all the rushing around with family all weekend the kids early nights  got blown to bits and we are now back at square one again.
Anyway I am still working on my brain fog so I am outta here.
Have a great Tuesday!

Med's and a good plug

I am on meds for my tooth ache and finally starting to feel better. Still foggy though.

I am sneaking out of posting once again till I feel better and this time I didn't have to do a thing.

My sweet friend Angela who is an amazingly talented artist gave me a plug and next thing you know I am featured on Scoutie Girl!

Go see the post, they are super over there and feature lots of amazing shops.

I'll be back with a normal post right way. Healing by the moment, thanks for the prayers, good vibes and well wishes, you gals (and guys) are amazing!

Pain in the jaw and class

I am  miserable!
Last night in the middle of the night a wisdom took broke all the way through. The tissue around it is all inflamed and swollen and well...it is really gross. I'll leave it at that.
It hurts, bad.
I was supposed to get them out 4 1/2 years ago but was pregnant .   After loosing that baby I thought about getting them pulled but they didn't hurt so I forgot about them.
Then I was prego with Kaitlyn. They started to move and caused great pain. Once again being pregnant I could do nothing about them.
After she was born I made an appointment but then found out I was prego again.
During the pregnancy with Ethan they moved again and caused some pain but once again I had to wait.
Six months after Ethan was born I once again had inflammation and pain and booked myself in for an extraction. I wanted them out.
After the x-rays the Dr. came in and said it looked like I should get them pulled but that my cause of pain was from tissue that was irritated by brushing.
He charged me an arm and a leg for the 'consult' and told me to come back in a few weeks.
I fired him.
The pain went away after a few days and I once again forgot about it.
Now, I HURT!
I really hope that now that the tooth is through the pain ends. If not I will be booking in first thing next week to yank em.
Needless to say this was the last thing I wanted to deal with when I had a craft class to teach.
I popped a few tylenols and downed a massive latte (thank you my man) and headed off to class.

It went well. 23 kids, $10 budget and 45 mins.
It was a stretch and after 30 mins we were done.  I sent the kids off in groups with parents to wash hands and lost half of them. The older girls returned to colour and draw for the last few minutes but the younger ones were done. 45 minutes is just too long for 3 year olds.
We did survive though and now the plans for next week get under way.
After an afternoon of classes the kids and I headed over to mom and dads for dinner.
The school work continued.
"We are learning numbers and writing mommyo."

Th rest of the evening was spent visiting and lounging around in the yard.
(this is my sister-in-law on the swing)
Visiting and relaxing and debating about what to do about my class.
the only solution I came up with to keep the kids entertained is to either shorten the class to 30 minutes or increase the budget so I can do two crafts each class.
We'll see what happens next week when I talk to the treasured and organizers.
Anyway I am so beat and my tooth is throbbing terribly.
Good night and have a great weekend!

Getting our crunch on

"Cluck, cluck!"
No, not my fashion for the day. I forgot to take a picture so today you get Kaitlyn the "chitchen."
"Baaaawwk, baaaawk."
This time of year is so fun for costume shopping. With Halloween around the corner the selection is fantastic. We always try to stock up on cute outfits we can play dress up in all year round.
This was one we just happened to stumble across while out on our area carpet hunt.
I decide to check at Winners/Homesense to see what they had and couldn't resist a swing through the kids section.
]
Can you believe it was only $19.99?
We just couldn't resist.
Many happy clucks to you!
And of course I cannot forget this!
My beautiful bowl. Made by the talented Bethany. I am in love with her creations!
And....this is exciting ( I have just been reading and still have to go back and get the details)....right now you can go there and enter to win a piece of her pottery.
Click here to check it out!

Moving along.

The crunch underfoot is on.
With the still warm afternoons, golden leaves and beautiful sunshine being outside is hard to resist.
We caved and got our crunch on!

Happy fall everyone. Well that is if it is fall for you. I understand there are different seasons going on around the world....so maybe it should be 'Happy season all!'
Eh, have a good day!

Filler

I have so much to say. Posts have been bonking around in my head all weekend and yet I have not had a minute to sit. I will save them for later though cause I only have 3 minutes right now.
My house is clean.
Guess that is what happens when I take a few minutes away from the computer.
My husband was shocked.
Nearly jumped out of his socks.
He did a dance.
Seriously that is how bad it was.
My studio even coughed up my dining room.
Entertaining is back on my list. Well for a day or so anyway.
I cannot even tell you how weird it feels to see spaces that have been covered for months.
It is a liberating feeling.
Like a burden was lifted.
Anyway, I wanted to get into some more nitty gritty stuff but I have to get busy again.

Back to my craft class prep.  I have been practicing on the kids.
To check out my new craft site just click here or go back up to just below my banner. You will see a craft link there.
Check it out and let me know what you think. (I still have a lot of work to do on it but it is getting there)
I will be updating it regularly with crafty stuff as we create.

Flopped soup and red clogs

Can you imagine slaving over a hot stove in this?
I lasted two minutes. My intentions were great but by the time Dave got home I was back to bare feet and kackies. I just couldn't suck in my gut all day either. That skirt has a high waist and it dates back to before kids.
My shape just isn't quite the same.
So how about my new necklace?
Thank you TT! She picked it up in Croatia last week. Love it!
Now remember that cauliflower  I told you about? The cheddar cauliflower?
Well  Iwas going to share the recipe that I used to make a soup with it but I am not happy with the results. Not creamy enough and too many onions.
Next time with a few adjustments it should be better.
Maybe it needs some fungus. I am sure the neighbors wouldn't mind if I raided the clusters popping up all over their lawn. However I have no idea what is and what isn't edible so I'll just steer clear.
Since that soup was just not hitting the spot we spent the rest of the night looking for something to fill the void.
Don't you hate it when that happens. Like when you have a craving for pizza and rather than order some you eat a little of everything out of the fridge, off the snack shelf and from the pantry. By the end of the night you feel like a bloated jelly fish and still want to order pizza.
That is how I felt.
We porked out on apple caramel cake and decaf tea before bed.
It was something.
I still want pizza.
The following morning we lazed around until Auntie TT came home.
Bearing wonderful gifts!

Now I have a travel itch! Our Mexico trip just can't come soon enough!

OK, I am off to prep for my craft classes. This $10 a class budget and 25 kids each class is really pushing me to be creative.
Any ideas? I am all ears!
They have to be super cheap though and take at least 30 mins to complete.
Challenging I know!
